PHOTOGRAPHY

"Oneric Overtones" is a new body body of work that focuses on gesture, automatism, and old brain spontaneity. My work is inspired by the ideas and people whose creativity flourished between the two Great Wars, Dada and Surrealism.

A photographic installation presented at El Centro de Fotografia, Mexico City, 1995. It explored commercial photographic techniques with not-so-commercial products.

A medium format camera, tri-pod and flash were used to document night life in Mexico City. Presented as an installation at El Museo de Monterrey, 1994.

Pin hole exploration of fossils discovered on the shores of Lake Erie.

Studio photography provides an opportunity to consolidate ideas based on the meaning of objects and their arrangements.

A hand-made pinhole camera was used to explore La Roma, a neighbourhood in Mexico City, 1991.

The Holga pinhole camera was used to document the timeless contact of rocks, water and ice. Shots taken 2012.

Find a Line series invite the viewer to find what look like lines but are ultimately values of light and dark. The pictures are made with 4x5 film pinhole camera. I chose the forest because it is a significant part of the Canadian landscape.
